Splitting Headache have taken their early '80s punk sound and twisted it into something even more vicious with their first full length, "Night Terrors." With a sound that has been previously placed between "Damaged" era Black Flag and skate rock icons JFA, their sound takes on a brooding darkness with this record, giving it a more Midwest sound, something dead center of the stripped down mechanics of Negative Approach and the more eccentric styles of The Necros. The influences are there, but as evidenced by former bands such as Dead Nation, Full Speed Ahead, 3 Against 1 and Forward To Death, it's clear that there is plenty of experience to tread against regurgitation, and to make something original.
