"Street metal" may be how they used to describe themselves, but Hightower's music has grown and evolved to represent the dudes' weirdly eclectic interests. Harsh thrash and ambient prog come together seamlessly, while vintage metal riffs chug merrily alongside grating punk. It's not so much that Hightower wears a lot of hats that don't go together, but rather that the music they make has become a reflection of the pins crowding for space on their jean jackets.
